There are various ways to be involved at Rome Baptist. We understand you may be in Rome for only a short while, but we encourage you to get involved in whatever way you can.

  • Nursery

A nursery is provided for on the second floor during the Sunday morning service at 10.30AM. This is aimed at children under the age of 3 so that their parents can take part in worship more fully.

  • Children’s Church

Children aged 3-10 years are asked to stay with their parents for the first part of the worship service. After the children’s sermon (see below), they are encouraged to go upstairs for a Bible-based program especially for them.

  • Children’s Sermon

During the worship service there is a special sermon of about 5-10 minutes aimed at the children (and the adults can benefit from it, too!). The children are encouraged to come to the front of the church for this.

  • Youth ministry

    DIG at Via Appia Antica

  • DIG (Discovering Intimacy with God)

This is the church’s singles’ group, though anyone else is welcome to join. DIG also meets for Bible Study every Sunday morning at 9:30AM, and has been involved in visiting the GB Taylor Senior Citizens’ home, and in distributing clothing and toiletries to the homeless in winter. DIGgers also like a good party, singing and traveling.

  • Bible Study Fellowship

BSF is a Bible Study aimed at women and children ages 8-17. Previous studies have covered the book of Philippians, the book of Ruth, the Gospel of Matthew and the life of Moses. The study meets on Mondays at 6:30pm on the 2nd floor of the church building.

The current study is The Gospel of John. Please contact Carmel Ieraci at 348 158 7199 or Silvia Gonzalez at 338 304 2913 for registration and for more information.

    Women's Bible study

There are two women’s Bible studies that meet on Thursday morning at 10:00am. One meets on the 2nd floor of the church building and the other in the Via Cassia part of town. Each group is independent of the other. Previous studies have included those by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Jennifer Rothschild and Chuck Swindoll.

The group that meets at RBC is currently studying Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby.

  • Bible Study in Italian

This takes place on Thursday evening at 8:00pm in the church sanctuary. The study is led by Corrado Primavera.

  • Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of the Rome Baptist Church Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives in the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 Steps. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

By working the Christ-centered Steps and applying their biblical principles found in the Beatitudes, we become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the principles we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ.

You can also check out the Celebrate Recovery website at www.celebraterecovery.com to find out more about Celebrate Recovery programs worldwide!

Celebrate Recovery meets on Fridays, starting from 7:00pm. Please contact Alessia at 338 167 5680 for more details. You could also send an email to celrecrome@gmail.com.

  • Free English Classes

These take place on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. We started with 5 students and now many Tuesdays are filled with more than 70 students! This is a wonderful outreach tool: many of our students get to read the Bible for the first time! More teachers are always welcome- you do not need any special skills other than the ability to speak English!
