The week of Easter – our scheduled activities at RBC

Rome Pincio

View of Rome from the Pincio hill

On Thursday evening, 13 April at 7.00pm, we will have Maundy Thursday (giovedi santo) communion service.

(The choir will rehearse following the service)
On Good Friday, 14 April, the church will be open from 7:00 AM until 19:00 (7:00 PM) to encourage people to come spend time in prayer and to reflect on what the cross, buried and resurrection of Christ means. This provides the opportunity to enjoy a quiet place to spend with the Lord and meditate on His Word. Come and go as you want.
THOSE AVAILABLE are encouraged to meet at the church at 17:30 on Good Friday, meet with Justin Boatright and go towards the Colosseum to distribute the Gospel of John salvation tracts.  Justin has done this for several years on Good Friday and people from RBC have often been involved. It’s a great way to share Jesus in our city.
– Easter* morning, Sunday, 16 April is Resurrection Sunday!!!
We will have our Sunrise Service at the Pincio Overlook in Villa Borghese. The Pincio overlooks Piazza del Popolo (look up to the white balcony and that’s where we’ll be)
. The service will begin at 7:00 AM.  Following the Sunrise Service we will return to the church for cornetti, coffee and juice about 8:15.
– Sunday* morning we will have the regular small group Bible studies from 9:30-10:25.
– The Resurrection Worship Service on Easter begins at 10:30.
We are currently taking the annual Rice Bowl Offering to assist two ministries.  One reaches to orphans living on the streets of Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. The other helps children who have been displaced by the war in Syria.  There are envelopes marked “special offering” on the table at the back of the sanctuary and the table in the church entryway.
In closing, please remember we are collecting biscotti and sugar for Il Soggiorno Refugee Ministry and we are now collecting summer socks for the homeless being distributed by Sostegno della Vita Ministry.  Would you prayerfully consider how you can support these Evangelical ministries.
“Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen!  Remember how he told you, while he was still living with you in Galilee:  The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.”                                          Luke 24:5b-7
