Christmas Music

October 1, 2012

The season we’ve all been waiting for is finally arriving! Christmas in Rome, and more especially at Rome Baptist Church, is an event that you’ll want to be involved in.

The Church Choir is preparing a musical presentation for the morning of December 9th. Placed amidst prophetic scripture and scenes from the Nativity, the Choir will be sharing 5 pieces – and featuring a few soloists. This celebration is not one you’ll want to miss!

Following Dinner on the Marble – a church-wide potluck in the Sanctuary – the church family gathers for “Carols of the Church” in the Sanctuary. Christmas songs are sung, both sacred and secular, in addition to musical specials sung by the church family. If you’d like to share, begin preparing now! We’d love to hear your renditions of your favorite Holiday melodies.

On December 24th, the Church will partake in a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 19.00. As we anticipate His birth, this reverent service is a beautiful example of the light that Christ will provide for the world.

Lastly, Rome Baptist will have a Christmas Day Service, on December 25th at 10.30 AM. We will raise our voices in celebration of the coming of this divine infant! If you’re in Rome for Holiday, please do not hesitate to join us!

If you have any questions regarding music, or becoming involved with music at RBC, please do not hesitate to contact our Music Director, Sam Ritter, by email at sam.ritter@my.uu.edu
